- Unregistered Version
- Why are the cards dealt in the same order
every time I play a game?
One restriction of the unregistered
version of the game is that you can only play one shuffle. This
gives you a chance to try out the game before you buy. Once you
purchase the product you will be sent a registration code that will unlock
all shuffle combinations in the game, including over 2 billion shuffle
combinations.
- Why is the shuffle number the same every
time I play a game?
The shuffle number identifies the
order of the cards in the shuffled deck. The unregistered version
only allows you to play one shuffle. This gives you a chance to try
out the game before you buy. Once you purchase the product you will
be sent a registration code that will unlock all shuffle combinations in the
game, including over 2 billion shuffle combinations.
- How do I set the Owner
Name on my device?
You must set the Owner Name on your
device in order for the registration code to be accepted and
verified. To set the Owner Name on your device, tap on the Start
menu, select "Settings" and then "Owner
Information". Enter your name in the "Name" field and
tap OK.
- My
registration code is not being accepted. What could be wrong?
The registration code is generated in part
from the Owner name of your PocketPC device. If your owner name does
not match the owner name used when you registered your product the
registration code will not be accepted by the game. Another possible
reason is that you may have extra space characters at the end of the owner
name on your PocketPC. To check this, tap on the Start
menu, select "Settings" and then "Owner
Information". Tap your name in the "Name" field and
move the flashing caret as far right as possible. Remove any extra
spaces at the end of your name and tap "ok"..
- The game time does not display or does not
display properly. Why?
Most likely this is caused by the
time properties in the regional settings for Windows has been set
incorrectly. To correct your time properties:
- Click the "Start" button
- Select "Settings" from the popup menu
- Tap the "System" tab, tap on the "Regional
Settings" program and then tap the "Time" tab.
- Select the desired "Time Style"
settings from the combo-box and click OK.
- If I turn scroll bars
off -- can I still scroll when the cards are not completely displayed in
the game window?
Yes. If the layout of the
cards is larger than the current window size you can scroll the
window. Use the left, right, up, and down directional control on
your device to scroll the window.
- How can I stop the
confirmation dialog boxes from showing up whenever I quit a game?
There are two ways to accomplish
this. The first way is to turn them off in the Options dialog.
Select "Tools" and "Options" from the main menu.
Then select the "Confirmations" tab. From there select the
confirmations that you want displayed. The second way is to select
the "Do not display this dialog again" check box on the
confirmation dialog box itself.
- I downloaded and
installed some backgrounds, decks, and sounds but they
aren't listed in the customization dialog boxes. Why not?
The list of files displayed in the
customization dialog boxes is determined when the "Tools",
"Customize" menu command is selected. If you downloaded
and installed files while this dialog box was open you need to close the
dialog and reopen it again so that the list is refreshed. If the
files still do not appear in the list then it is possible that the files
are installed in the wrong directory. Customization files must be in
one of the subdirectories of the directory where the game is installed
(e.g. BGs, Decks, Media).
- I don't see the
BGs or Decks folders on my PocketPC device. How do I create them so
I can copy backgrounds and card decks to them?
This can be done one of two ways:
1) On your PocketPC device, tap the start menu button and select
"File Explorer". Then change from "My Documents"
to "My Device", then tap "Program Files", then
"Games", then "King Sol". Once in the "King
Sol" folder, tap "Edit" at the bottom of the screen and
select "New Folder". Change the name of this new folder to
"BGs".
-or-
2) On your Windows desktop open up Microsoft ActiveSync and click on the
"Explore" button. Then double-click on "My Pocket
PC", then "Program File", then "Games", then
"King Sol". Once in the "King Sol" folder, click
"File" from the main menu and select "New
Folder". Change the name of this new folder to BGs.
To create the Decks folder follow the same instructions above except use
the folder name "Decks" instead of "BGs".
