- Unlimited Undo and Redo
The number of moves that you can "undo" at any time is specified
by the undo limit. To set the undo/redo limit:
- Select "Tools",
"Options" from the main menu. Click on the
"Options" tab. Make sure the "Allow Undo"
checkbox is checked and then click on "Unlimited undo".
- Changing card sizes
There are three different card sizes -- large, medium, small. If you
are playing a game with a lot of cards, want to play the game in a smaller
window, or you need to match the card size to your screen resolution,
simply select the card size that is right for you. There are two
ways to change the card size:
- Select "Tools", "Options" from the main
menu. Click on the "Options" tab. In the "Card
Size" combo-box select the card size and click either
"Apply" or "OK".
- In the game window, right-click to display the popup menu.
Select "Card Size" and then the card size that you want.
- Playing a random game from a category of games
If you like a particular category of games (e.g. FreeCell, Klondike, etc.)
you can play a randomly selected game from that category only. There
are two ways to do this:
- Select "File", "Random Game", "From game
categories" from the main menu. Then select the game category.
- In the "Open a game" dialog box ("File",
"Open a game" from the main menu), choose a game category from
the combo-box in the upper-left corner of the dialog. Then
right-click on any game in the game list to display the popup menu.
Select "Play random from this category".
- Automatically resize the window to fit the current card layout
Many times while playing a game the horizontal and/or vertical scroll bars
may appear as the space required to display the cards is larger than the
game window. You can always change the card size to a smaller card
size (if available). However, if you don't want to change the card
size King Sol has the ability to automatically resize the window to fit
the space needed to display the current game layout. There are three
ways to do this:
- Select "Tools", "Resize window to game" from the
main menu.
- In the game window, right-click to display the popup menu.
Select "Resize window to game".
- Click the "Size" button on the toolbar
- Changing the location of the toolbar
You can position the toolbar at the top, bottom, left, or right side of
the window. There are two ways to reposition the toolbar:
- Select "Tools", "Options" from the main
menu. Click on the "Game Window" tab. In the toolbar
section, select the position of the toolbar from the "Position"
combo-box.
- Right-click anywhere on the toolbar to display the popup menu.
Select "Position" and then the position of the toolbar.
- Replay a previous shuffle
Each time that you play a game the sequence of the cards in the deck is
determined by the shuffle number. If you want to replay a particular
shuffle or play a shuffle that one of your friends told you about, there
are two ways to do so:
- In the "Open a game" dialog box ("File",
"Open a game" from the main menu), enter the shuffle number in
the "Shuffle" combo-box in the upper-right corner of the
dialog. Then choose a game and click "Play".
- In any of the game statistics displays ("Player",
"Graphs"/"Statistics"/"High
Scores"/"History" from the main menu) click on a game that
you want to replay. Either double-click on the game entry or
right-click to display the popup menu and select "Play".
- Swapping backgrounds, decks, and card faces
If you have selected multiple backgrounds, decks, and/or card faces in the
customization dialogs ("Tools", "Customize" from the
main menu) you can choose to have them automatically change at the start
of every game. Simply check the "Change every game"
checkbox in the customize dialogs. In addition, you can manually
change these items. To do so:
- In the game window, right-click to display the popup menu.
Select "Next Background", "Next Deck", or "Next
Card Face".
