Rules:

Foundations (8 piles)

Build up in suit from Ace to King (for example, a 6© may be played on a 5©).

The Forty-Niners (7 tableau piles of 7 cards each)

Build down regardless of suit (for example, a 4§ may be played on a 5§¨ª©).
The top card of each pile is available for play.
Groups of cards in sequence down in alternating color may be moved as a unit to another empty tableau pile.
Spaces may be filled by any card or group of cards in sequence down in alternating color.
